Reccuring Maintenance Cleaning

All Areas

  • Remove cobwebs from ceiling edges/corners
  • Dust ceiling fans and hanging light fixtures
  • Dust window blinds
  • Dust all woodwork to include windowsills, trim, chair rails, baseboards (Wash as needed)
  • Dust both sides of interior doors (Wash as needed)
  • Dust all wall items
  • Dust all items on furniture tops (Move items to dust furniture)
  • Dust all furniture (Damp wipe or polish as needed/directed)
  • Clean all mirrors and glass
  • Clean glass on exterior doors inside and out
  • Remove trash; replace liner
  • Remove throw rugs and small items on floors to clean (shake rugs outside or vacuum). Replace when floor is clean and dry.
  • Sweep and mop/handwash hard surface floors with appropriate cleaner
  • Vacuum carpets

Dusting

  • Furniture – Remove and dust items, dust entire piece of furniture and replace items.
  • Wall Items – Dust all pictures, etc. Shelves: Remove and dust items, dust shelf and replace items. If a customer has shelves or furniture with clutter, knick-knacks, excessive papers, etc. you may ignore these areas.
  • Windowsills – Dust with a dust rag or Swiffer, wash as needed.
  • Baseboards – Dust with a dust rag, vacuum attachment or swiffer; Wash as needed

Beds

If clean sheets are left out, strip bed, make neatly & put dirty linens inside laundry hamper or laundry room. If clean sheets are not left out, make bed neatly.

Glass

Clean all mirrors, pictures, chandeliers, ceiling fan globes, glass tables and inside & outside of glass on exterior doors.

Bathrooms (in Addition to All Areas)

  • Dust and spot clean cabinets
  • Scrub sink, including drain & drain stopper. Polish fixtures.
  • Move all items off countertop to clean under/behind, including backsplash and front edge. Clean items from countertop and replace.
  • Dust all wall items, towel racks and toilet paper holders
  • Clean all mirrors and glass
  • Scrub and disinfect shower/tub from top to bottom, removing all items. Clean off all items & replace when shower is clean.
  • Scrub and disinfect inside of toilet bowl. Disinfect outside of toilet from top to bottom including toilet base.

Kitchens (in addition to all areas)

  • Dust and spot clean cabinets
  • Clean outside of all appliances & inside of microwave
  • Scrub sink, including drain & drain stopper. Polish fixtures.
  • Move all items off countertop to clean under/behind, including backsplash and front edge. Clean items from countertop and replace.

Trash

All trash must be emptied. Replace liner. Put trash in specified area.

Vacuuming

All floors including stairs will be vacuumed unless otherwise specified. When vacuuming, small items will be moved.

Washing Floors

All floors will be washed unless otherwise specified. If a customer does not have specific instructions, floors will be mopped with hot water, multi-purpose cleaner & a well wrung mop.

Additional services and by appointment only: Inside oven, refrigerator, windows, walls, patios, etc. may be scheduled by contacting the office.

First Time/Single Cleaning

All Areas

  • Remove cobwebs from ceiling edges/corners
  • Wash ceiling fans and hanging light fixtures (reachable with 2-step ladder)
  • Dust window blinds
  • Wash all woodwork to include windowsills, trim, chair rails, baseboards
  • Wash both sides of interior doors
  • Dust all wall items; damp wipe or polish if needed
  • Dust all items on furniture tops; remove items to dust furniture
  • Dust all furniture; damp wipe or polish as needed or directed
  • Clean all mirrors and glass
  • Clean glass on entry doors inside and out
  • Remove trash; replace liner
  • Move throw rugs and small items on floors to clean (shake rugs outside or vacuum). Replace when floor is clean and dry.
  • Vacuum/sweep and handwash stairs, including railing
  • Vacuum/sweep and mop or handwash hard surface floors with appropriate cleaner
  • Vacuum carpets including edges with attachment

Dusting

  • Furniture – Items will be removed and dusted, entire piece of furniture will be dusted, and items will be replaced.
  • Wall Items – All pictures, etc. will be dusted. Shelves: Items will be removed and dusted, shelves will be dusted, and items will be replaced. If shelves or furniture have clutter, knick-knacks, excessive papers, etc. these areas may be ignored.
  • Windowsills – Will be washed with a damp rag and multi-purpose cleaner
  • Baseboards – Will be washed with a damp rag and multi-purpose cleaner

Beds

If clean sheets are left out: beds will be striped and made neatly. Dirty linens will be placed inside laundry hamper or laundry room. If clean sheets are not left out, bed will be made neatly.

Glass

All mirrors, pictures, chandeliers, ceiling fan globes, glass tabletops and inside & outside of glass on exterior entry doors will be cleaned with glass cleaner.

Bathrooms (in Addition to All Areas)

  • Clean all wall items including towel racks and toilet paper holder
  • Wash outside of cabinets
  • Scrub sink, including drain & drain stopper. Polish fixtures.
  • Move all items off countertop to wash under/behind, including backsplash. Clean items from countertop and replace.
  • Scrub and disinfect shower/tub from top to bottom, removing all items. Clean items & replace when shower is clean and dry.
  • Scrub and disinfect inside and outside of toilet bowl

Kitchens (in addition to all areas)

  • Wash outside of cabinets
  • Clean outside of large appliances & inside of microwave
  • Scrub sink, including drain & drain stopper. Polish fixtures.
  • Move small appliances and other items off countertop to wash under/behind, including backsplash. Clean items from countertop and replace.
  • Clean floor under cabinets and around large appliances

Trash

All trash will be emptied, and liner will be replaced. Trash will be placed in specified area.

Vacuuming

All floors including stairs will be vacuumed unless otherwise specified. When vacuuming, throw rugs and small items on floors will be moved to vacuum behind and underneath.

Washing Floors

All floors will be washed unless otherwise specified. If there are no specific instructions, floors will be mopped with hot water, multi-purpose cleaner & a well wrung mop.

Move Out Cleaning

All Areas

  • Remove cobwebs from ceiling edges and corners.
  • Dust and wash all hanging light fixtures, fans and lightbulbs.
  • Wash all chair rails, stair railing, baseboards, door/window frames and doors.
  • Clean all light switch and outlet covers.
  • Windex glass on exterior doors inside and out.
  • Wash all trim around window, ledge by the lock and windowsill. If windows are requested, wash inside and outside of glass (if outside can be reached with 6ft ladder) including opening the window, cleaning the track, surrounding edges of windowsill and trim.
  • Dust and spot clean blinds.
  • Clean all exterior surfaces of washer and dryer, open doors to clean inside lip & edges.
  • Sweep and hand wash laundry room area floor with appropriate cleaner making sure to get the floor under the edges of washer and dryer.
  • Vacuum all carpeted areas, using the attachment to vacuum edges.
  • Sweep (or vacuum) tile and/or hard wood floors, clean with appropriate cleaner. Use a damp rag to hand wash around edges of floor/baseboards.

Bathrooms (in Addition to All Areas)

  • Remove cobwebs from ceiling edges and corners.
  • Dust and was light fixtures and lightbulbs.
  • Clean all wall items, i.e. towel racks, toilet paper holder, etc.
  • Clean shower – all surfaces from top ledge to drain, scrubbing off any soap scum and/or dirt.
  • Wash toilet inside and out including underside and base.
  • Clean vanity mirror.
  • Scrub inside of sink, wash vanity top and polish fixtures.
  • Vacuum/wipe out all cabinets and drawers, wash all interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Hand wash bathroom floor with appropriate cleaner, making sure to thoroughly wash edges of floor/baseboards well.

Kitchens (in addition to all areas)

  • Check oven for self-cleaning option, if oven is self-cleaning, start the process when you arrive. If it is not self-cleaning, spray with oven cleaner (leave to soak as directed). Clean oven racks, as well as all interior and exterior surfaces. If range top lifts, clean under burners, including underside of range top and drip pans. Wash top of stove and overhead range, including any removable components and replace.
  • Run dishwasher to rinse out any debris. After cycle is complete, remove any remaining debris. Clean interior lip/ledge and exterior surfaces.
  • Remove and wash all shelves and drawers of refrigerator/freezer, clean all interior and exterior surfaces including top and door seals. Replace shelving.
  • Vacuum/wipe out all cabinets and drawers, wash all interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Clean interior and exterior of microwave.
  • Scrub inside of kitchen sink and scrub/polish fixtures.
  • Damp wipe countertops with appropriate cleaner, including backsplash and front edge.
  • Sweep/vacuum floor, mop with appropriate cleaner, thoroughly handwash edges of floor/baseboard, and around/under edges of refrigerator and other appliances.

Vacation/Turnover Cleaning

All Areas

  • Remove cobwebs from ceiling edges/corners

  • Remove all used linens. Wash, dry & put away as directed. Replace clean linens.
  • Check closets, under beds, drawers, etc. for prior guests’ personal items.

Porches/Patios

  • Straighten patio furniture.
  • Remove any trash or debris.
  • Clean as directed.

Bathrooms (in Addition to All Areas)

  • Move all items off countertop to clean under/behind, including backsplash and front edge. Clean items from countertop and replace.
  • Scrub sink, including drain & drain stopper. Polish fixture.
  • Dust and spot clean cabinets each visit
  • Dust all wall items, towel racks and toilet paper holders.
  • Clean all mirrors and glass
  • Scrub and disinfect shower/tub from top to bottom, removing all items. Clean off all items & replace (as directed) when shower is clean.
  • Scrub and disinfect inside of toilet bowl. Disinfect outside of toilet from top to bottom including toilet base.

Kitchens (in addition to all areas)

  • Empty dishwasher. Wash, dry and put away any used dishes from guests.
  • Dust and spot clean cabinets each visit.
  • Clean outside of all appliances & inside of microwave.
  • Refrigerator: Dispose of expired/open food, except for condiments. Clean inside as needed.
  • Wash coffee pot and empty filter.
  • Scrub sink, including drain & drain stopper. Polish fixture.
  • Move all items off countertop to clean under/behind, including backsplash and front edge. Clean items from countertop and replace.
  • Remove trash and replace liner. Wash outside of trash can.

Vacation turnovers are a special kind of cleaning service as we are preparing your vacation home for new guests to arrive. The following are examples of tasks for vacation turnovers where specifics will need to be provided by the client:

  • Washing all bedding and towels, placing out clean dish towels, bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, dish soap, coffee, tea, welcome basket or specialty items for guests or anything else that is specific to your vacation home.
